Axes Settings (3D Graphics)
This dialog allows you to adjust the appearance and scaling of all axes in a 3D/spectrogram window. You can open this dialog by using "Edit/Axes settings" option from the menu.

Z-Axis Range
- The Max and Min fields define the range of the Z-axis (typically amplitude). You can enter values manually or adjust them using the up/down arrows next to each field.
- The Auto button automatically sets the Min and Max fields to the actual minimum and maximum values currently present in the graphic.
Display Options
- Instant preview: When selected, the window is redrawn immediately as you modify Min or Max values. For complex 3D graphics, you may wish to disable this option to improve performance.
- Fixed min/max (no auto-scale): When enabled, SIGVIEW will retain the defined Z-axis range and prevent it from being recalculated automatically as the data changes.
- Show axes: Displays the coordinate axes and their labels. Uncheck this option to show only the data without axes, which can improve rendering speed.
Axis Scaling
- Logarithmic Y-Axis: Displays Y-axis data (for example, frequency in a Time-FFT) using a logarithmic scale.
- Logarithmic Z-Axis: Displays Z-axis data (typically amplitude) on a logarithmic scale.
- Both logarithmic options can also be toggled from the 3D window’s context menu.
Axis Labels
- The X label, Y label, and Z label fields define the text shown beside each axis when Show axes is selected (for example, sec, Hz, or Amplitude).
