Digiducer Accelerometers and Signal Conditioners
SIGVIEW supports data acquisition by using Digiducer Accelerometers and Signal Conditioners, for example 333D* series or 485B* series.

These USB devices use sound card drivers to integrate in Windows, so you will see them also as a standard sound card or a DirectSound device. In a PRO version, additional device "Digiducer" device type will appear, listing only Digiducer devices.
One key benefit of using the "Digiducer" device type in SIGVIEW is the automatic utilization of the device's sensitivity data. This feature converts the raw data into physical units directly in the software interface - Voltage for Signal Conditioners and acceleration (g) for Accelerometers. Conversely, using these devices as standard sound cards displays only the raw values from the driver, which are either in a 24-bit integer range or within a range of [-1 to 1], without any physical unit conversion.
Since Digiducer devices use a standard sound card interface, any sound optimizations or enhancements done by Windows driver may corrupt the signal. It is highly recommended to turn off any "signal enhancements" available in Windows, to be sure that you acquire original sensor signal.
